What was the scenario before you partnered with Oliver King?

Prior to working with OK, we were recruiting ourselves, without success! We had tried to use adverts via various forms of social media but it just didn’t attract the calibre of employee that we were looking for.

When advertising for roles with the vision of growing their team, Energy Smart Group found themselves attracting candidates who didn’t suit the role, or who didn’t have the level of expertise or motivation to fit within the team. This meant that resources in both budget and time to recruit and train staff were often larger than anticipated.  

What were the project goals?

We were going through a period of growth and wanted to expand our workforce but also give back to the community by offering apprenticeships.

The Energy Smart Group needed new people. Their business was growing significantly and they needed the workforce to support this in order to deliver all client work in their diary. Their goals were:

  • To hire new members of the team
  • To utilise relationships with the local community to give back by providing job opportunities such as apprenticeships to the local workforce

Everything was so easy after that initial conversation, they did it all, it was fantastic. What amazed us was that every candidate turned up for their interview! Oliver King delivered 10 fold on our expectations! Originally we were offering one role, but such was the calibre, we ended up offering two.
